PROMISED MADE, PROGRESS ACHIEVED – BUT WE’RE JUST GETTING STARTED! |
Born and raised in Edison, Mayor Sam Joshi is a trailblazer, a problem-solver, and a tireless advocate for the people of his hometown. Mayor Sam Joshi, has redefined leadership in Edison—fighting for a stronger, safer, and more prosperous community. |
At just 27 years old, Joshi made history as Edison’s youngest-ever elected official. He brought fresh energy and bold ideas to the Edison Township Council, and his mission was to keep taxes low, support small businesses, and build a local government that truly works for its residents. |

A LIFETIME OF SERVICE, A PASSION FOR CHANGE |
Public service is not just a job for Mayor Joshi; it’s part of his DNA. From his early days as a 9-1-1 telecommunicator for the Edison Police Department, where he provided critical information to first responders during emergencies, to his work on the Fair Rental Housing Authority Board and the Zoning Board, he has dedicated years to improving Edison as a great place to live. |

TAKING ON CHALLENGES, DELIVERING REAL RESULTS |
When a huge warehouse project near Silver Lake Avenue threatened to overwhelm neighborhoods with truck traffic, Joshi took a stand—and won. He didn't back down when Able Trucking put the Clara Barton community at risk. When Amazon’s operations clogged Vineyard Road, he found a solution that benefited residents and businesses. |
However, Mayor Joshi’s leadership goes beyond merely addressing problems—it focuses on creating a brighter future. Under his administration: |

Property Taxes have remained stable, ensuring Edison stays affordable for families and businesses. |

MAKING EDISON MORE AFFORDABLE WITH BOLD LEADERSHIP |
Mayor Joshi isn’t here to maintain the status quo—he wants to make Edison a more affordable place to retire or raise a family. With a clear vision, relentless dedication, and a deep love for his community, he is leading Edison into a future of opportunity, safety, and excellence. |
Joshi’s administration has successfully stabilized municipal property taxes, lowering taxes for the first time since 1988. He accomplished this by bringing in a record high $19 million in grants for projects and services in Edison. These efforts reflect the commitments to financial sustainability and enhanced quality of life for the future of Edison residents. |
Mayor Joshi has made notable progress, but the work is far from finished. There are even greater things on the horizon for Edison’s future. |
