Fafda: A crispy, deep-fried snack made from gram flour (besan) and spices.
Khaman: Similar to dhokla, but made with a slightly different batter and preparation method, resulting in a lighter, fluffier texture.
Chevdo (Bombay Mix): A mix of various fried snacks like sev, lentils, nuts, and spices.
Chakri: A spiral-shaped, crunchy snack made from rice flour and spices.

Buttermilk |
Buttermilk is a fermented dairy drink. Traditionally, it was the liquid left behind after churning butter out of cultured cream. As most modern butter in Western countries is not made with cultured cream but uncultured sweet cream, most modern buttermilk in Western countries is cultured separately. |
|
Chaas (Indian Beverage): Most commonly, "Chaas" refers to a traditional Indian yogurt-based drink, often called buttermilk in English.
It is made by churning yogurt (curds/dahi) and cold water, which can be enjoyed plain or seasoned with various spices and herbs. It is particularly popular as a cooling and refreshing drink during the summer, and can be consumed on its own or alongside meals. Some variations include Masala Chaas, which incorporates additional spices like cumin and coriander. |
KHICHDI |
Khichdi, also known as Khichri or Kichari, is a staple South Asian dish that is made with rice and lentils. The word "Khichdi" is derived from the Sanskrit word "Khicca," meaning a dish of rice and legumes. It is known for being a light and easily digestible meal, often served as comfort food or for those recovering from illness. Khichdi is considered one of the first solid foods given to babies in many parts of India. KADHI Kadhi is a versatile and popular Indian dish, essentially a yogurt or buttermilk-based sauce thickened with gram flour (besan) and seasoned with various spices and herbs. It is known for its comforting and tangy flavor profile, often enjoyed with rice or Indian flatbreads like roti or chapati.
