In 2026, the United States will celebrate its 250th anniversary, marking 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776.
This semi quincentennial, or 250th anniversary, will be a year-long commemoration, with festivities The celebration will encourage reflection on the nation's past, honor the contributions of all Americans, and look towards the future.
The commemoration, officially known as America 250, is a national effort involving various levels of Family, community, business organizations, and citizens.
We are leading the planning, aiming to engage the entire nation and the world in this historic event.
A key aspect of the celebration is to inspire a renewed love of American history and encourage participation in shaping the nation's future, according to the White House.
Several states and cities are also actively involved in planning and participating in the celebration.
It's an opportunity to engage with the nation's history, celebrate its diversity, and consider its path forward.
